We who have had the privilege of serving the International Order of the Blue Gavel over the years have all seen the outstanding service of a few particularly noteworthy individuals.  It has been our deep pleasure to have served with them and our concern that there was no vehicle for recognizing their significant contributions to the furthering of the goals of the organization and, indeed, to the Blue Gavel itself.
